The chinese idol group
Popu Lady have done some fun pop songs with enjoyable videos before, but the new "Gossip Girls" is more like performance art. You quickly notice its two main themes; the sampling of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake (Four little swans) and the very artistic video. The song is a cover of german duo Symphobia's
"I Do", but I must say it is the video that is the focal point this time around. The drama and obvious intentional contrast between
Swan Lake dance sequence demanding synchronization and on the other hand the discord inherent in gossip, makes this a great watch.
