Kpop: PSY - Gentleman

Ok, so it is finally here; PSY's follow-up to the most watched video of YouTube's history and maybe THE cultural phenomena of 2012, Gangnam Style. It is called Gentleman and obviously has to be seen in relation to Gangnam Style. Noone believed seriously believed that he could come near the success of that hit, the question was more of how he should handle it. I would say he did OK. He could have done worse by changing to a style he couldnt handle, but this song and video obviously keeps to the winning concept; a special dance (the butt dance), vulgar (but often funny) humor, a famous female co-star (Ga-In) and extra everything really. On the other hand, nothing beats the original in this version. I actually finds this video a bit on the harsh side, but the last half and specially the final 30 seconds saves that, which makes me give PSY a "pass with some merits".
