Jpop: Oresama - Trip Trip Trip

My liking for Oresama keep increasing for every time the duo evolves their special brand of happy comic styled vides and songs where the singer Pon really has managed to find her special id that differentiates her from the legion of happy young idols out there in jpop, of course helped by the composer Kojima Hideya. The new "Trip Trip Trip" is maybe their best video so far, and I don't even care which anime it is for this time, the video stands so well on its own.

Jpop: Sayuri (さユり)

All the images are from "Crescent Moon"

It is hard to define 20 year old Sayuri's music without talking about her presense and charisma, she really gives the impression of being 110% into what she sings without just screaming it out, with the videos so far doing a great job of showing this. The style of mixing anime and real footage is also a aestetically pleasing choice.

• Sayuri - Parallell Line (平行線)
• Sayuri - It Is Like A Small Light (それは小さな光のような)

Jpop: SKE48

If you have already written about the Japanese mega-group AKB48, and then continue to touch upon jpop idol groups, soner or later you will run out of excuses for not writing about their sister group SKE48. They are *another* girl group consisting of 48 girls, but with the simple difference that they are based in Nagoya. Being created after AKB48, they of course will have their fans and opponents, but they basically do the same kind of music. You like AKB48, you should like SKE48 and vice versa.
Their new single is the ending theme for a super-(too)-cute anime but the video instead takes place in a futuristic setting that obviously takes some inspiration from movies like Blade Runner. But why did they have to match a video like this with the song name "Chicken LINE"?!... :-P

• SKE48 - Chicken LINE
• SKE48 - Beautiful Lightning (美しい稲妻, full version here)
• SKE48 - Unrequited Love Finally (片想いFinally)
• SKE48 - 1! 2! 3! 4! I'm Counting on You! (1!2!3!4! ヨロシク!)
• SKE48 - Even Kiss is Left-Handed (キスだって左利き)
• SKE48 - Clumsy Sun (不器用太陽)
• SKE48 - 12 December Kangaroo (12月のカンガルー)
• SKE48 - Slave to Chocolate (チョコの奴隷)

Jpop: Tokyo Karan Koron - Spice

There is something special with the singing of Tokyo Karan Koron that is just like a really tasty but slightly odd candy. Aptly enough the video is food themed, as it was also the ending theme for the anime "Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma".

Jpop: Mizuki Nana (水樹奈々)

Lovely Mizuki Nana is a well established voice actress and singer from Japan, but what I really like in the new "Superman" is the humor she displays. She shines like a sun really!

• Mizuki Nana - Super☆man
• Mizuki Nana - Exterminate
• Mizuki Nana - Angel Blossom
• Mizuki Nana & T.M. Revolution - Revolutionary Dualism (革命デュアリズム)
• Mizuki Nana - Forbidden Resistance (禁断のレジスタンス)
• Mizuki Nana - Appasionato (アパッショナート)

Kpop: Crayon Pop - FM

The wait for the very much anticipated return of Korean nerd dance act number one Crayon Pop is over! The queens of quirky choregraphy and cute looks returns with a super hero themed video where references to anime and TV-series abound (Sailor Queen and ...  Halo?).
