Kpop: Clazziquai Project - #Curious (#궁금해)

All images is from the #Curious video

The soulful trio Clazziquai Project celebrates 11 years and now they are coming up with another album, from which we get to preview the soft and alluring "#Curious", with their characteristic sound. Since I wrote about them last time, in 2013, they have released a number of other nice songs which you shouldn't miss either.

• Clazziquai Project - #Curious (#궁금해)
• Clazziquai Project - Call Me Back
• Clazziquai Project - Madly
• Clazziquai Project - Love Satellite

Kpop: Jero (제로)

It seems the members of Lucky J has parted way, so I am happy to see that their talents doesn't go to waste, with J'Yo, now Jero, debuting with this excellent example of his sweet voice.

• Jero ft Giriboy - Airplane (비행기)

Kpop: Hoody (후디)

Hoody is part of Jay Park's label and particpated in his song "Solo", and was earlier part of the duo Brand Newjiq. In both cases her vocal capabilites has been obvious and with the song "Like You" it seems she releases her third solo single, and I think it should be about time she gets some traction in her career, she really deserves it.

• Hoody - Like You
• Hoody - Baby Oh Baby
• Hoody & Cokejazz - Blue Horizon
• Hoody - My Ride

Jpop: Cicada (シケイダ)

Magic and soulful, the five members of Japanese band Cicada delivers a sound that is vibrant with mellow and tranquil feeling. The voice of Akiko Kido combines with soft electronica that I hope promises much for the future.

• Cicada - Yes
• Cicada - Shake Your Fingertips (ゆれる指先)
• Cicada - Door
• Cicada - Naughty Boy

Kpop: John Park (존박)

The man with the sexy voice, American-Korean John Park, is back with one of his darkest singles so far, "U", where he plays the obsessed stalker. The song is a suggestive piece of kpop soul and whatever one may think of the them, he delivers again.

• John Park - U
• John Park - Falling
• John Park - Baby

Kpop: Lucky J (럭키제이)

The first single from trio Lucky J is a soulful piece named "Can You Hear Me" that makes the three of them really shine at their best. Jessica, J'Kyun and J'Yo are the three singers.

• Lucky J - Can You Hear Me (들리니, live here)
• Lucky J - No Love
• J'Yo(Jero) - Airplane
• Jessica H.O - Get up, Life is fun (인생은즐거워)
• J'Kyun ft Ken (VIXX) - Ponytail (포니테일)
• J'Kyun - 2 Job Hustle (투잡허슬)

Kpop: Mamamoo - Mr Ambiguous (Mr.애매모호)

The formal debut of vocally strong group Mamamoo is "Mr Ambigous", which again showcases their singing capabilities together with a soulful charm. Also, they again show of an impressive number of guests in the video, even going so far as it to become distracting like the cut with Baek Z Young.

• Mamamoo - Mr Ambiguous (Mr.애매모호)

Jpop: Nona Reeves (ノーナ・リーヴス)

The band Nona Reeves was created back in 1995, and plays what I would call "nostalgic 70s retro" music. The name comes from Marvin Gave's daughter ("Nona") and Motown singer Marthe Reeves, and gives you a good implication of the sound they are aiming for. Even though (or because of) they sound a little more "modern", Gagarin and POPTRAIN is some of the best songs from Nona Reeves.

• Nona Reeves - Gagarin (ガガーリン)
• Nona Reeves - P-O-P-T-R-A-I-N
• Nona Reeves - Mr Melody Maker (Only Audio)
• Nona Reeves - Enjoyee! Your Lifetime
• Nona Reeves - Forever Forever (a mix of songs from the new album)
• Nona Reeves - Love Together
• Nona Reeves - Bad Girl
• Nona Reeves - Hey Everybody!
