Jpop: Sekai no Owari (せかいのおわり)

Sometimes you start off on the wrong side. Me and Sekai no Owari was like that. When I heard their "RPG" some years ago I decided they were pretentious and not very good anyway. And so it remained. Then when I was checking others 'best of 2015' lists I couldn't help getting curious about their "Anti Hero" from last summer, the main theme for the Attack on Titan film. I have to admit that this is really good. Both the styling and more importantly the music is, well, cool. And that piano by Saori really kills. In general the videos of Sekai no Owari are visual feasts and well worth watching anyways.

French pop: Indila (Adila Sedraïa)

From Indila's latest album Mini World there has three great videos released, where "Dernière Danse" is without a doubt the top of the cream - It has drama and effects worthy of a big sci-fi production combined with wonderful french singing, I get delightful shiver's from this song. Adila, as is her real name, is a modern artist with Indian, Algerian, Cambodian and Egyptian in her veins, which combined with her delightful french singing is the best comment to the politics Le Pen and the likes are pushing for - the best of two (five?) worlds. ;-)

Indonesian Pop: S.O.S.

If one is not familiar with the Korean language, the looks and estetics of S.O.S. and their video may lead you to think this is your average kpop group, but they are actually Indonesian. "Drop it low" is an effective hit that gives the girls a perfect chance to show their potential as a pop act.
