Russian pop: Dante / Alexei Ismailov

Dante, or Alexei Ismailov, is a new acquaintance for me this year. Evidently he participated in Voice of Russia in 2012, but didn't get any success there. His earlier "I'm flying" also didn't do it for me, but the latest "I don't know" is quite different in style and so well produced, with the video being such a great celebration of charming and colorful fantasies.

Kpop: Fiestar - I Don't Know (아무것도 몰라요)

Excepting their pre-album-release collaboration with Eric Benet, "Whoo", Fiestar has had a 11-month hiatus. Their 13-lesson AHA! series must be one of the best kpop campaings I have seen, at least towards a global audience, but still it is good for them to be back with a full video and album. The song "I Don't Know" is an obvious play on its male audience with Jei visiting a nerd in his room, mixed with children's song melodies, and a text about being not sure if she is read for the next step...
