Jpop: Morning Musume (モーニング娘)

Another of the Hello Project! groups, Morning Musume has soon been around for 20 years, and is (like AKB48 among others) continously changing members as they age and "graduate". What made me write about them today is a very cute and very typical example of the cute and even awkward lyrics that at the same time is what makes it so popular, the song "The Story of Noisy Girls / Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari" which have the members at that time (2004) recount one and every member's main characteristic. To this video I have added some of the more recent ones.

Jpop: Juice=Juice - Don't be spiteful, but embrace me

Just like C-ute, Juice=Juice is part of Hello Project! that also holds the "master group" Morning Musume. And, just like C-ute, J=J has the same awkward and retro feeling that's ultimately so charming and inherently japanese. The video and song feels like something from an 80's tv-series (with a japanese touch), and that just melts my defences totally (just like their last song). It fascinates me how such a fashion-forward people at the same time can dress young girls like 50-year old secretaries... (^_^) The lyrics joins the same cheezy and lovable category. It goes straight into my heart, at least.

Jpop: Juice=Juice - Romance is on its way (ロマンスの途中)

Juice=Juice, a sub group of Hello!Project (and thereby related to Morning Musume) makes their first "real" release with the song "Romance is on its way", which is a catchy schlager that makes me think of romantic tv-series from the 80s, which is high marks from me. ^_^

Jpop: Juice=Juice (ジュースジュース)

J=J is a subgroup of Morning Musume (formally of the Hello!Project but it is principally the same) which has released their second single, "Samidare girls it's crazy". The name is meant to imply the girls are natural and so on, *but* also cool and sexy. Sexy orange juice anyone? ^_^
