Jpop: Tofubeats - Don't stop the music

Tofubeats is back with his new offer and it is another mellow and sweet electronica piece which just makes me happy and longing for summer somehow, with veteran Moritaka Chisato also lifting the piece with her voice. See her here in her glory days, with "17 Years Old" from 1989. (^_^)

Jpop: Momoiro Clover Z - Gounn

In Japan the five girls in Momoiro Clover Z is quite popular and you would see ads with them quite often and they hade a number of fans among people I mentioned them to. Now they have released the video for their 10th single "GOUNN", meaning unsure, that is also the name of their upcoming tour. The theme is Buddistic with lots of symbology and instruments like the sitar, and they have cooperated among others with Elena Slivnyak from Project Runway Season 10 for the Cambodian inspired dresses. The "color coding" of the members is of course intact too... (^_^)

Jpop: Scandal (スキャンダル)

If I was to mention the girl pop band I respect the most, even though I may not listen to them the most, it is Scandal, consisting of Haruna (lead vocals), Mami (lead guitar), Tomomi(bass) and Rina(drums), who formed their band during high school and then has stuck together since then, plays classic rock music with all that it entails with a touch of japanese kawaii. Watching their live finishing piece, Space Ranger, is actually the truest way of first experiencing them.

Kpop: Trouble Maker - There Is No Tomorrow

The duo Trouble Maker consisting of Hyuna and Hyunseung is back with a new video and it is as sexy and steamy hot as their first. I wonder if this isnt a new step in open sexuality for a mainstream kpop act? A natural evolvement, of course, and I am not surprised Hyuna is the woman who is taking that step. Still I wonder if not Ga-In can counter that with something more powerful? Only the future knows.

Jpop: Tommy Heavenly6 - Ruby Eyes

38-year old Kawase Tomoko is back with the new album "Tommy Ice Cream Heaven Forever", this time under the "darker" alias Tommy Heavenly6. Appropriately for Halloween, the theme is dark dolls and make up. She has always had a talent for making music that is the best mix of japanese and western music I have ever heard. 15 years of great music and she is still going strong.
