K indie: Bjorn (뵤른)

Bjorn is a total unknown to me, but the song is a facinating piece of musty electronica that is as far from mainstream kpop as you can go. His Facebook page implies he has a history in the states, so that may explain some of it. "Empty Desire" instead has its given spot with its counterparts in the western synthpop scene (yes, even the use of scantily clad models is quite typical).

Kpop: Nu'est - Sleep Talking (잠꼬대)

The boys of Nu'est is back with their 3rd mini album called Sleep Talking. It brings a steady beat and a song centered around dreams and fantasies.

Kpop: Sunmi (선미)

Sunmi from Wonder Girls is going solo and *damn* is it a promising debut. "24 hours" just oozes powerful sensuality, with a slick performance that combined with the beat and the visuals makes the whole package a impressive statement with an almost hypnotic quality.

Kpop: F-ve dolls (파이브돌스/5dolls)

I am not sure what Core media hopes to achieve with the name change (more of a spelling change) for previous sub-group of Co-Ed School. The video of F-ve dolls has an obvious relation to T-ara's classic Lovey Dovey, even though it musically may or may not be a copy. I like the retro look, and the music style, so I really dont care. I still miss Co-Ed School, but that is history.
