Kpop: Hyolyn ft Jay Park - One Step

Hyolyn has released two videos for songs from her new "It's me" EP. I like One Step more, as it has got a better sound and hook in my opinion.

Kpop: Jinbo (진보)

Jinbo is supposedly a rapper but I find it is better to describe his kpop as belonging to the R&B bracket, with nice samples and electronica added for good taste.

Kye Kye

Kye Kye is an American electronica band but their song Honest Affection is interlaced with Japanese sounds and themes. I really love the athmosphere in this video.

Mandopop: Wang Yuling (Miss Cat / 汪妤凌)

Wang Yuling was a medium successful contestant (an exemple here) in the first season (2012) of Voice of China. The one interesting song is from her following solo career is "Miss Swag", from her 2013 album Next Level, with both an attitude and visual style not seen before or after that.

Mandopop: Yang Fan - Grandma Yang (陽婆婆)

When Taiwanese TV host and singer Yang Fan returned two years ago to reprise his fictive character Grandma Yang he wasn't sure what the reception would be, it and the song became quite popular. And the song is very much even for us who didn't watch the original show, with very much visual jokes and a music track that has a little surprising and crazy edge to it (with lovely bitpop added too!).

Uzbek pop: Shahzoda - Hands are up (Qo'llar tepaga)

Shazoda is an Uzbek singer who used to be part of a duo (Jonim) but now is more recognized as a solo singer. I have liked Uzbek rhythms and "Hands are up" from 2013 is a good example of this with a humorous video too, which is about the stress of getting married.
