Jpop: E-girls

E-girls is a japanese dance performance group that gradually has focused more (or rather, begun to more seriously focus) on the singing. I have already written about one of their sub-groups, Happiness, but now it is time for E-girls too. I usually don't share Christmas videos but let's make an exception as I feel it is really time to share the holiday spirit. ;-)

Kpop: Red Velvet (레드벨벳)

I didn't find Red Velvet's debut, with the controversial music video "Happiness" to be especially interesting, but the new "Dumb Dumb" reinforces the impression that they deliver visually interesting videos. You can watch this several times just for the eye feast it is. And again - what's it with this current Pippi fetish in kpop? !

Mandopop: Huangqi Wen (黃琦雯)

Likened to Anita Mui both in looks and musical expression, Hunagqi Wen has released two quite interesting videos this summer, the contemplative "Rain" and now the uptempo "Happiness". Both are more approachable and updated than her previous efforts (in my opinion), and the videos are quite nice. She's a multitalent that played instruments already at young age, and have studied music at university and won several competitions.

Jpop: World Order - Have a nice day

I just love World Order and their synchronized dances, but they somehow overdid themselves this time with "Have a nice day" by going to Akibahara in Tokyo, the worlds number one nerd district. They went and visited electronic stores, maid cafes, AKB48 (of course!) and all the other stuff I love or remember. This video is pure love and made me cry from happiness. I even went and changed the name of my blog to the current one, as I acknowledged to myself how easily I cry from happiness, just like AKB48's (ex)-member Yuko Oshima (Start at 8:20 if you're in hurry).
