Mandopop: Sophia Wang - Versailles Tears (凡爾賽之淚)

I didn't like "Oh Oh Oh" from January which felt cheap, but the newer "Versailles Tears" is better. Maybe it is a little  pretentious with the theme, and maybe it is not that original, but it has its rhythm and looks that are good enough. I find myself thinking Sophie Wang's latest video is in fact ... cozy, something I imagine wasn't the intention but well that's my idea and it works for me. ;-)

Mandopop: Sophia Wang - Fly Fly Fly & Beautiful

There *is* something about thrashy EDM songs that can be quite attractive and Sophia Wang follows up the recent semi-interesting Beautiful with just a heavy beat-techno by giving us "Fly Fly Fly". While listening, why not read a suitably "trashy" article on her complicated  love life?

Mandopop: Sophia Wang (王思佳)

Model and actress, Sophia Wang from Taiwan debuted last year as a singer at the age of 32 with the video "Bababa". For me, it is with the new "No 1" that I for the first time find her rise above the average as the video is a passable fun dance piece.
