Jpop: Mito Natsume (三戸なつめ)

Anyone familiar with Perfume, when listening to Mito Natsume one can hear some similarities, because they share the same producer, the famous Nakata Yasutaka. Natsume has her own almost anti-glamorous style which isn't totally about doing crazy stuff either, rather it is about being a rather "normal" but goofy girl, which is very refreshing.

Mangolian pop: Bayartsengel

Bayartsengel from Mongolia found a missing niche in music - yodeling to electropop! He does sing songs without this magic combination, but this special combination is just magic.

Jpop: Charisma.com

This fantastic japanese duo making electro-rap consists of MC Itsuka and DJ Gonchi. The latest video "Hate" has an extremely effective combination of rap and beat, which together with their fierce lyrics is the signum of the group.

Jpop: Perfume - Sweet Refrain

Japanese Perfume have released the full length version of their video to Sweet Refrain (from their latest album,  Level3), a song that will be played for the second season of the drama "Toshi densetsu no on'na". As usual the three are dancing in synchronized and stylized movements, and this time they use trick photography to duplicate themselves. As a follow up to 1mm from the same album the song is a little more average in quality, but by no means bad. Its more a case of 1mm having a more special soundscape.

Mandopop: Jeannie Hsieh (謝金燕)

Daughter of Taiwanese comedian Chu Ke-liang and known for her beautiful legs, Jeannie Tsieh keeps on going strong at 40 years of age. I really find her electropop video "Sister" enjoying in its own manner. Reminds me of some of the videos from the late 80s. Semi-kitchy but nice to watch at the same time.

Jpop: Perfume - 1mm

Perfume has released the lead track "1mm" from new album "Level3" in full version. The resolution is still only 480p so I wont be posting any pictures, but I have posted a lyrics version as small compensation. Again Perfume delivers their trademark synced dancing and computerized singing. And I love it. (^_^)

Jpop: Tommy February6 (Kawase Tomoko)

Tommy February6 is one of the aliases of Kawase Tomoko (she also goes under Tommy Heavenly6 and Tommy Airline, and as herself in the group Brilliant Green). Her music is a kind of synthpop and I personally think she is one of the most beatiful Japanese I have seen *and* believe it or not but she is actually 38 years old. Thats around >my< (old) age! ^_^
