Kpop: Taemin - Move

The images above is from the duo version, the rest from the "solo" version

It has been getting close to two years since Taemin released his first album, but now "Move" is here, and with it comes the single with the same name, a cool video where the duo version is clearly the one to watch. his dancing with japanese dancer Koharu (which he has cooperated with before).

Kpop: K.A.R.D. - Rumor

Since the start it was K.A.R.D.:s hot dance moves and that they are a mixed group, quite unusual in kpop, with the boys J.Seph and B.M together with the girls Somin and Jiwoo delivering not only superb choreography but also great songs. The new "Rumor" may be the best so far, where they put their male/female contrast to great use.

Kpop: K.A.R.D.

The second image is from "Oh NaNa", the rest of the choregraphy images are from "Don't Recall".

K.A.R.D. is something so unusual in kpop as a mixed group, ie consisting of both men and women. Add to that they are *very* competent dancers and you have a really unique concept. One cannot appreciate a new video from them fully without having seen the dance version first. But that would be for nothing if they couldn't sing but their music videos really rocks too!

Kpop: Yoo Jae Yuk & EXO - Dancing King

SM Town's dance and EDM label/brand SM Station has been establising itself as a place to find new combos and a bit more international sounds that, although mainstream by western measures, steps outside the normal boundaries of kpop. The 32nd release is a colloboration between MC Yoo Jay Yuk and super stars EXO, and it's a really groovy track that would feel at home at the Rio festival, I imagine.

Kpop: Bambino (밤비노)

All the images is from "Moonlight Shower"
Bambino has been maybe the most talked about "dance perfomance" group in kpop, ie a group that makes a living out of dancing to other artist music. And I am not talking about acrobatic shows, but rather this genre is more about looking better and more sexy than the originals, and these girls has been the most successful, with most of the group member's having personal followers that film and post everything they do. Slightly creepy (fans)? Mmm. Is it the girl's fault? Nope. Their real musical debut is also an at least average kpop song, so they really have nothing to be ashamed about.

Kpop: Laysha (레이샤)

My first thought when seeing the debut music video of Laysha was that Nassun was the singer, I mean...
But then I realised four of the girls are actually the centerpiece. They are part of a trend with kpop girl groups working their way to success via sexy dance numbers, growing a fan-base who shares fan-cams of their performances, and then in the end they debut with 'real' music videos of their own. Now one could just say they are trying to do a more hip hop version of Stellar's successful and sexualized 'Marionette', but the thing is, the song and the performance (yes, I really mean the singing part...) actually grows on you and at the end of the video they got me. This will be interesting.
