Mandopop: Zhang Zhiyong (張智勇)

This song by Zhang Zhiyong (Here's an interview with him showing of his saxophone skills) is a spin-off from the animated TV-series Baby Panda (巴布熊貓) from 2006. With the re-start of a new version of the TV-series, he has done a fun song that's catchy and easy to follow for everyone. For us with limited Mandarin skills it's an excellent chance to try some singing along. ;-)

Mandopop: Sun Shengxi / Shi Shi (孫盛希)

Sun Shengxi is actually a korean girl (third generation chinese though) who took part of a music competition in Taiwan (reaching top six), and that's why she can end up singing the opening theme for the Taiwanese TV-series "Lovestore at the Corner". She has a voice that is one of the best combinations of American soul and Chinese language harmony sound that I have heard (together with Khalil Fong), listen to the new Girls to hear the best example of this.
