Kpop: Ladies Code - So Wonderful

I like Ladies Code as there has been a kind of theme in their videos, some hard to describe quality which has had to do with them not taking the easy way out. All their videos has in some degree been about conflict between woman and man, or conflicts inside women because of men. I'm not saying they are a beacon of feminism, quite the opposite, but at least there has been a kind of bite in their videos. This continues in So Wonderful, as Ladies Code is the first larger kpop act this winter to evolve towards a more sexy concept, instead going for a -in some sense- more traditional storytelling choice. Ironically enough the visual theme is objectification and/or separation, even though it is mutual in the end.

Kpop: Ladies Code (레이디스 코드)

The new group Ladies Code has been hyped for a while now, and today they released their first music video, "Bad Girl". I would say it is a rather predictable kind of bad girl, borderline cheesy, even it is rather nicely done and the singing is well executed. But why oh why cant they make the singing synchronized with the lip movements? Anyway, lot of nice picture opportunities from this video. Yeees, the part where they make heavy weapons from paper is rather cool too. ^_^
