Kpop: Lovelyz - WoW!

Well, to be honest in my mind, "Destiny" (and to a certain extent, "Ah-Choo") was a kind of maximization of what Lovelyz can do when they are at their best; their sweetness honed to perfection with a video cutting that was just amazing. Therefore it comes as no surprise that the new "WoW!" cn't quite measure up to that. This is Lovelyz at their ordinary level. Good, but not more.

For sure, Lovelyz has been delivering sweet and cute videos but there simply hasn't been anyone so far to deliver something other than a sugar chock. "Destiny" changes that. Well, actually,...when I frist saw it I just watched 20 seconds before sighing "another of their super-sweep but tame videos", and then I put it away for almost a month. When bored last week I gave it another chance and wacthed it all the way. And damn, was I suprised! It reminds me somehow of Berry Good's "Angel", but Lovelyz video is just perfection dramavise and how the director uses the songs (still) limited register to deliver a 3:45 experience that surpasses the songs initial limits.

Kpop: Infinite - Destiny

Ah. Finally. Infinite is back. And their "Destiny" is a step forward from the average "Man In Love". Returned has the drama and big gestures, the music that we know Infinite for. The settings may be a little repetitive but I will give them a "Good+".
