Jpop: Berryz Kobo - Love is always inside you (愛はいつも君の中に)

Berryz Kobo releases quite a number of songs. Since I blogged about them in december, they have released "I'm an adult!",  "Usually, you can't keep being an idol for 10 years" and the slightly wierd "130 Million Diet-Minded Country", but I will skip over them to the most recent  "Love is always inside you". They all three got their qualities, but the last one I like the most and it got them gals in cool black uniforms and a nice sound that makes me associate to Girl's Generation/SNSD and their "Mr Taxi".

Taiwanese Metal: Chthonic (閃靈樂團)

Even though kpop/jpop/mandopop etc is the probably the way Asian music is perceived in the rest of the world, there also exists other modern genres that are very much alive. As I am a metal fan since far back, I would like to tell you of Chthonic from Taiwan. They are a black metal band that combines all the classical metal elements familiar from the west (screaming voices and heavy sounds but with a strong melodic component and guitar solos) with local instruments and some traditional song sequences. Anyone normally into metal should give this a go.
