Kpop: Girl's Generation - Catch Me If You Can

I quite liked their "Mr Mr" last winter but some of the korean super girl group SNSD's efforts the last few years have been so-so. But the new "Catch Me If You Can" is really something worth watching. This is actually one of the best choregraphed music videos I have ever seen, and I mean it just that way - this was really made for watching, I was transfixed for the whole first watch, and its honeslty not mainly to do with them being nice looking, but even more so because of how well it is cut and timed with the music. It ironically reminds me of TVXQ's superb video with the similar name "Catch Me", another masterpiece of kpop arranged around cool dancing.

Jpop: Berryz Kobo - Love is always inside you (愛はいつも君の中に)

Berryz Kobo releases quite a number of songs. Since I blogged about them in december, they have released "I'm an adult!",  "Usually, you can't keep being an idol for 10 years" and the slightly wierd "130 Million Diet-Minded Country", but I will skip over them to the most recent  "Love is always inside you". They all three got their qualities, but the last one I like the most and it got them gals in cool black uniforms and a nice sound that makes me associate to Girl's Generation/SNSD and their "Mr Taxi".

Kpop: SNSD - MR MR

The kpop (girl) group with arguable the biggest fan base, SNSD/Girls Generation, is back with their much anticipated 4th album and headlines this with their "Mr Mr", reaching 2+ million views the first 9 hours. It really doesn't matter much how bad average or even bad their singles are as they sell big anyway, as last January's fail-song "I got a Boy" showed with its (now) 86 million views on YouTube. Therefore it is rather nice that their "Mr Mr" works quite well, and rather surprisingly, it is a song that grows on you. I find myself going from sceptical at the start to quite positive at the end of the video, so this will certainly pass 10 million views in a few days.
