Kpop: Lovelyz (러블리즈)

For sure, Lovelyz has been delivering sweet and cute videos but there simply hasn't been anyone so far to deliver something other than a sugar chock. "Destiny" changes that. Well, actually,...when I frist saw it I just watched 20 seconds before sighing "another of their super-sweep but tame videos", and then I put it away for almost a month. When bored last week I gave it another chance and wacthed it all the way. And damn, was I suprised! It reminds me somehow of Berry Good's "Angel", but Lovelyz video is just perfection dramavise and how the director uses the songs (still) limited register to deliver a 3:45 experience that surpasses the songs initial limits.

Kpop: Cross Gene (크로스진)

I'm not sure how I missed blogging about Cross Gene's debut La-Di Da-Di as I have played it rather a lot myself. Anyway, they are a six-member band with members from both Korea, China and Japan, and it then comes a s no great surprise that the latest singel, Shooting Star, is for the Japanese market.
