Jpop: Daichi Miura - Fever

If you loved funky Miura before, you will love "Fever" which is a song made for swinging blissfully to, with his signature combination of a nice dance number and songs that makes me think of Michael Jackson and the 80s in a good way. Fever is also the name of his 5th album released this autumn.

There is a certain nerve in Daichi Miura's singing, and his dancing isn't bad at all too, so one can understand the associations some people get to Michael Jackson. The new video "Unlock" is a prime example of it, but I also love his duet "Possibility" with BoA. His looks are quite more rough than usual for jpop boys, but I actually think thats works for him.

Kpop: Phantom (팬텀)

Phantom is a hip-hop trio who are always doing something funny or different. See for example their "19 song" where they sing cencored text from other songs or Good Morning with a Michael Jackson themed video. Their latest song is "Come as you are" which they do together with Verbal Jint.
