Kpop: Park Ki Ryang (박기량)

After watching the video for "Hustle" you may not be surprised to hear that Park Ki Ryang is a (the most) famous cheerleader in her home country Korea. That she now adds a singing career to her acting is not so surprising really, and actually both her debut singes sounds quite nice, so this could well be something worthwhile for both her and us listeners.

Jpop: Haraeki Stage Ace (原駅ステージA)

The Japanese idol world can be complicated. Take Haraeki Stage Ace - they are one of four sub groups of "Harajuku Ekimae Parties" which in turn is supposed to be the girls to take over after their "seniors" in jpop group Fairies. Anyway, they sing about "hard rock", but the song is rather a (quite nice) uptempo pop song with them doing a cheerleader theme.
