Kpop veterans SHINee delivers a title track "1 on 1", from their new album with the same name, that shines (yes!) with 80s retro making me all warm and fuzzy.

Kpop: SHINee - Everybody

The return of SHINee is a well executed number (their moves are just soo good) that still is mostly like a soundtrack to itself, ie there is a distance in the performance. It is still enjoyable, and catchy (yes, "everybody" is said like a hundred times), but I am not sure it will stick. Simply, one could say they continue on the same track as there last singles like Why so serious? and Dream Girl...

Kpop: Shinee (샤이니)

Shinee kicks of the release of the second half of their Misconceptions of you - album with the track "Why so serious?".  The "centerpiece" of this song must be the almost continuous guitar riff, and it will probably be what makes you like it or not like it. I surprised myself by realizing I hadn't blogged about them before, so please giver their older hits like  a chance, they are really worth listening to. Ring Ding Dong may have a phoney name but it is a real kpop classic in my eyes. Damn, after re-listening to them all, they are all better then this latest song. Well, anyway, if this is their less good, it is still quite good. ^_^

Finally the new single Dream Girl is out from SHINee. Well, not too bad at all! Yes, its a little bit funky and "airy", and it could be its a keeper when I have gotten to listen to it a few more times.
