Jpop: Yagi Shokichi ft Verbal and Sway - Back to the future

This is the formal solo debut for Yagi Shokichi (his real debut was in 2006 with the Soul Brothers and "We!"), who probably uses the name Exile Shokichi to draw attention to his membership in japanese supergroup Exile. The track is a cool video with lots of computer graphics and cool dances.

Mandopop: Laure Shang (尚雯婕)

Laure Shang (Shang Wenjie) from Shanghai became famous through her win in the last season of Super Girl in 2006. There is two versions of Little Star, with the "starlight" version being fully english, while the other is more mandarin based.

• Laure Shang - Paint My World (畫出我世界)
• Laure Shang - Little Star (星光, "starlight")
• Laure Shang - Little Star (小星星)
• Laure Shang - Love Changes Love (越愛越明白)

Jpop: Big Porno (ビッグポルノ)

The name of Big Porno may make you think this is a japanese AV movie, but then you are completely wrong as its a six man (five men and one woman to be correct) group. Well…and then you aren't completely wrong as the name is partly true as their themes are related to sex quite often. It may panties, the cup sizes of bra's or even pubic hair. This may not be so interesting for non-japanese speakers, but their latest "Blood Japan Tear" is something extra as the electronic sounds and beats are fantastic in my opinion, combined with a video that's a step more serious than before.

• Big Porno - Blood Japan Tear
• Big Porno - Tea! Tea! No! oh,,,喫茶？

Jpop: Especia

The six girls from Especia, based in Osaka, does specifically 80s retro disco, and their new "No 1 Sweeper" is no exception. And look at those sexy vegetables... ;-)

• Especia - No 1 Sweeper
• Especia - Aviator & Boogie Aroma
• Especia - We are Especia ~Nakinagara Dancing~
• Especia - Kurukana
• Especia - Aventure wa Gin-iro ni
• Especia - Midnight Confusion (ミッドナイトConfusion)
• Especia - Knight Rider (Dance video, ナイトライダー)
• Especia & HMV Idol School - Our Sp!ce
• Especia - Ya-Me-Te! (S-T-O-P!)
• Especia - Twinkle (Dance video)

Mandopop: JPM

JPM consists of LilJay, Prince, and Modi from Taiwan (a reshuffle from Lollipop) and I actually finds their older "That's not red snow" a little better than "365 Days" as the later has a little to slow buildup for my taste.

• JPM - That's not red snow (那不是雪中紅)
• JPM - 365 Days (365天)
• JPM - Moonwalk (月球漫步)
• JPM - Singing 4 Love

Mandopop: One Two Free (自由發揮)

One Two Free seems like a Taiwanese group focused on funny videos, Gym being their latest video. They are quite hilarious at times. The fit lady in the video is none other than Jung Da Yeon, Korean fitness guru well known in Korea and Japan and, evidently, Taiwan. She's 46 but looks like half her age, i.e. a classic sexy MILF. ;-)

• One Two Free - Gym
• One Two Free - ABC
• One Two Free - "3D Dance Battle Total Loss" (3D舞力全失)
• One Two Free - Kiang
• One Two Free - Save the fire (救救火)
• One Two Free - Dead (死定了)
• One Two Free - Bollywood Love (寶萊情緣)

Mandopop: Kris Kuan (管罄)

Kris Kuan from Taiwan has a modern sound and in her After Smoke she touches on homosexual themes (makes me think of another Taiwanese, Jolin Tsai and her Fantasy). The song has a moody ambience that I love. This kind of Mandopop is just right up my alley.

• Kris Kuan - After Smoke (事後菸)
• Kris Kuan - I have to take care of myself (我討厭照顧我自己)
• Kris Kuan - You're not not human (你是不是不是人)
• Kris Kuan - Hole (洞)
• Kris Kuan - After the turn (轉身之後)
• Kris Kuan - Casino
