Jpop: Daichi Miura - Fever

If you loved funky Miura before, you will love "Fever" which is a song made for swinging blissfully to, with his signature combination of a nice dance number and songs that makes me think of Michael Jackson and the 80s in a good way. Fever is also the name of his 5th album released this autumn.

The hip hop / pop group Da Mouth from Taiwan reaches new heights in my eyes when they, with the assistance of 90s star Pauline Lan, does a very funky and charming song with a suitable 80s neon video. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. ;-)

Jpop: Sakai Yu (さかいゆう)

Sakai Yu continues his soft and (even more) funky sound from "Summer Again" in the new "Headphone Girl". The theme of being a "fly on the wall", or rather, being in a self documentary continues also. While the summer song was about a man imagining himself in a photo shoot of gravure (ie semi-nude) models, in this video we follow a girl going about her everyday business in Tokyo.

Kpop: Stay Foolish (스테이 풀리쉬)

Well, I can't say much more about the band(?) Stay Foolish than that their debut is a rather funky piece of sexy electronica (with a Korean 19+ ranking) that may mean good stuff will be coming from them.
