Kpop: Nu'est - Overcome (여왕의 기사)

The 4th album is coming up for the boys of Nu'est, and beyond a nice track and suitably dramatic video, again I think Ren is in focus for his femine looks. For me he looks like some of the idealised knight images from the romantic era in art, and very much suitable in this setting. At the point of the woman (a Pledis trainee btw) being introduced in the video, I feel a reading of the video as a part of a transgender debate wouldn't be fully wrong, somehow.

Jpop: Root 5 (√5)

As a math teacher, of course I'm a bit weak for when a music group uses mathematical names (hello korean tough girls f(x)...)but of course there needs to be something more. For Root Five, the theme of the new "Love Ninja" is good enough, a humorous one.

• Root Five - Love Ninja

Kpop: VIXX - Eternity (기적)

Finally the wait is over for the fans of VIXX, and I think the video and song for "Eternity" is their best since "On and On". Drama, high-paced and no side-tracks. Great stuff.

• VIXX - Eternity (기적)

Kpop: TVXQ! - Spellbound(수리수리)

The (nowadays) duo of TVXQ latest video is better than the last ones, in my mind. It is better simply put. The theme is poker and ofc, with TVXQ, flashy dancing.

• TVXQ - Spellbound (수리수리)
• TVXQ - Spellbound (2nd version)

Veckans kpop: Big Bang

• Big Bang - Fantastic Baby
• Big Bang - Monster (Ja, en del av deras 'looks' är monstruöst fåniga...)
• Taeyang - I'll be there
• G-Dragon - A Yo
• G-Dragon - Heartbreaker
• G-Dragon & TOP ft Park Bom (2NE1) - Oh Yeah (Live)
