Jpop: Daoko - Daisuki (ダイスキ)

The third and last song and video from Daoko's latest single is out, "Daisuki" ('I Love'), and it uses industrial robots to perfectly accompany her in a song as sharp and technological as a modern production line (in a jpop music interpretation). It really suits her singing style.

Kpop: Two X - Over(꽂혀)

There has been awhile since we heard from Two X, but here they are again with a charming video about unfaithfulness.  ;-) Anyway, the girls really has some good charisma going for them and the song is pretty nice too.

Kpop: Dorothy (도로시)

The debut of kpop group Dorothy is quite nice, but that in itself may prove a problem as rookies most of all needs to stand out somehow to get that needed attention. And in regards to the color, if one follow the lyrics the color should not be taken to literal - it instead implies the color your lips gets when you are really frozen, which is implied in this case as they sing about being badly dumped and cold because of it.  ;-)

Kpop: Mino/Minho (송민호)

There is something about the solo debut of Mino (not sure why they dropped the 'h' from his real name Song Minho) the rapper from kpop group Winner. I find that hip hop seems to be very popular right now among male idols right now, way to popular for my taste, but he has a interesting drama in his voice that moves beyond the usual rapping style. There is a kind of heedlessness that only Jay Park and Okasian can top.

Jpop: Daoko - Moshimo Bokura ga GAME no Shuyakude (もしも僕らがGAMEの主役で)

This new video is the second one from Daoko's triple-single being released this coming week, with "Bang!" preceeding it. While Bang! had a clapping thing going, in "Moshimo Bokura ga GAME no Shuyakude", the theme is obviously retro computer gaming, and what fun it is! That said, I like her singing too, and the production by Oresama's Hideya Koijima is great.

Kpop: Red Velvet - Russian Roulette (러시안 룰렛)

Red Velvet is back with a new colorful video with the same playfulness as in "Dumb Dumb". It starts and looks rather sweet in "Russian Roulette", but quickly it is obvious that they are actually trying to kill each other. In a cute and colorful way... ;-)
